BEREAVEMENT PROGRAMS
Adult Grief Support Groups
Grief support groups are always forming. We offer many types of loss groups throughout the year. Please call 425-261-4807 for the most current schedule.
Safe Passages: A general loss support group offered both afternoons and evenings.
Legacies: A grief support group for adult women who have lost their mothers.
Broken Hearts: A support group for those affected by the loss of a child.
Men Grieve Too: A six week group, just for men, who have experienced a loss.
Heritage: A six week group for those who experienced the loss of a parent.
Soul Survivor:
An ongoing drop-in support group for those who have lost a spouse. Meets 2nd and 4th Thursdays, 2-3:30 p.m. at Providence Hospice, 2731 Wetmore Ave, Everett.
Caregiver Support Group:
A drop-in group for caregivers to get support and share experiences.
Meets: 1st and 3rd Monday, 6:30-8:00pm
Providence Hospital/Colby Campus, MOB, Mt St Helens room
The Newly Bereaved Workshop:
This workshop, for adults, is an introduction to understanding the grief process. There will be discussions of a variety of topics that include what to expect in grief, different styles of grieving and how grief effects families. Meets: The 3rd Thursday of each month, 6-7:30 p.m. at Providence Hospice, 2731 Wetmore Ave, Everett WA 98201 – Conference room B – 1st floor.
CHILDREN & TEEN SERVICES
Kids and Teens Standing Together
A program specifically designed for children and teens (grades K-12) who have experienced a loss through death. This is a safe place and time for bereaved children and teens to meet share and be with others who have also lost a loved one. There is a group for parents that meets at the same time. Meets: The 3rd Saturday of the month–(during the school year Oct–June. (Lunch is provided). No fee for service. Registration required, call 425-261-4798.
Camp Erin ~ August 27-29, 2010
A bereavement camp for kids and teens (grades K-12). No fee to attend. However, qualification and registration are required. Information: 425-261-4798.

July 12 – August 14: 3 Mondays, 5 Wednesdays, and 2 Saturdays
4th Quarter Core Training:
September 30 – October 30: 5 Thursday’s and 2 Saturday’s

Vigil Training for Patient Care Volunteers
June 26: 9am – 4pm
September 24: 9am – 4pm
November 18: 9am – 4pm
Prerequisite: completion of “Core Training.” To register 425-261-4808.
