Safe Crossings/Camp Erin® Groups and Events
Parent-Child Group

Interested applicants must submit a volunteer application and participate in an orientation interview prior to acceptance into the volunteer training program. Volunteer Core Training
Core training is a four-hour training that provides an overview of hospice and volunteer opportunities. It prepares volunteers to attend training for patient care, bereavement, Camp Erin, and other volunteer programs, as well as to provide office support at Providence Hospice of Seattle. Core trainings are held on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Providence Hospice of Seattle office. You must submit an application and participate in an orientation interview before attending this training.

Patient Care Volunteer Training
Patient Care Volunteer training is a two-day (9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) weekend training designed to prepare volunteers to work directly with hospice patients and families. Volunteers must attend Core training prior to attending Patient Care Volunteer training.

Bereavement Volunteer Training
Bereavement Volunteer training is a two-day (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) training designed to prepare volunteers to support people who are grieving the death of a loved one. Volunteers must attend Core training prior to attending Bereavement Volunteer training. Call 206-320-4000 for more information.
