Providence Gateway Clinic Adds New Physicians

Oct. 28, 2008

PORTLAND, Ore. — Providence Medical Group – Gateway has added three family and community medicine physicians to the clinic; all are currently accepting new patients:

Brenda Brischetto, M.D., believes in treating the whole person and is careful to take into account the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of an individual’s health. She’s open to new ideas and approaches, and encourages her patients to share their innovative solutions for better health. “I especially love delivering babies and watching them – and their siblings – grow and develop over the years,” she says.

Dr. Brischetto, who is fluent in Spanish, received her undergraduate and medical degrees at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. She completed her residency at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center in Lawrence, Mass.

Karen Muchowski, M.D., considers educating patients about their health care choices her most important role as a physician. In her practice, she emphasizes preventive care. “I believe patients should take an active part in their health care decisions” she says.

Dr. Muchowski received her medical degree from the University of California, Davis, and completed her internship and residency at Oregon Health & Science University. She is fluent in Spanish.

Evan T. Saulino, M.D., strives to empower his patients. He emphasizes holistic care, listening, and teaching patients how to care for themselves, and how to treat and prevent disease. “I enjoy teaching patients to understand how their body works in the context of their lives and illnesses. I especially enjoy pediatric and geriatric care,” says Dr. Saulino.

A chemistry/biochemistry graduate of the University of California at San Diego, Dr. Saulino earned his medical degree and a Ph.D. in medical microbiology and microbial pathogenesis at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Mo. He completed his internship and residency at Oregon Health & Science University and has a strong interest in other cultures and is fluent in Spanish.

Providence Medical Group – Gateway, family and community medicine, is located in the 1321 N.E. 99th Ave., Suite 200, Portland. You can reach the clinic at 503-215-4250 or www.providence.org/pmg.
