Phyllis Gilmore, M.D.
Board Certified: Family Practice
Dr. Gilmore enjoys being a family practitioner because it allows her the opportunity to establish relationships and get to know her patients as people. “I like the feeling that I can make a positive difference in someone's life,” she says.
Her approach to health care is founded on the belief that patients should have control over their health and that through education and working in partnership, they can have an active role in their treatment.
Dr. Gilmore is board certified in family medicine and has spent most of her years in medicine practicing in rural areas. She earned her medical degree at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans.
A native of Louisiana, Dr. Gilmore and her family now make their home in Vernonia. Away from her practice, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music of all kinds and watching NASCAR races.
Robert Giusti, F.N.P.
Board Certified: Family Nurse Practitioner
Robert Giusti believes partnering with his patients and their families is integral to successful health outcomes. “I emphasize education and building confidence, so my patients can become full partners in directing and managing their own health,” he says. “To me, the best moments are when the patient's physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs are met, and together we're able to improve their health and well-being.”
A nursing graduate of the University of Portland, Robert went on to earn his master's degree in nursing at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. He is a certified family nurse practitioner.
Robert was born in Berkeley, Calif., and grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. He enjoys home carpentry, sports fishing, hiking, camping, and spending time with his wife, Laura, a professor, and his daughter, a recent college graduate.
