Board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Lanier acts as a friend, educator and advisor to patients and their families and spends time to ensure their comfort with their care. He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado, Denver, and went on to complete an internship, residency and fellowship at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. In addition to his primary interest in patient care, Dr. Lanier is heavily involved in research both at the Robert W. Franz Cancer Research Center in the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute and as the principal investigator for the Columbia River Oncology Program, a National Cancer Institute-funded community clinical cancer research program that makes dozens of clinical trials in all types of cancers available to Portland and Vancouver residents.

After completing an undergraduate degree in biology and psychology at Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Lewis went on to earn her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. She then completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Airforce Base, Texas, where she became director of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. Before founding Providence Oncology and Hematology Care with Dr. Lanier, Dr. Lewis was in private practice for 10 years with Pacific Oncology, P.C., in Portland. She has been medical director of Providence Cancer Center since 1998.

Alison Conlin, M.D. received her undergraduate degree in biology from Cornell University. She went on to receive her medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y. Dr. Conlin completed her internship and residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, N.Y. She then completed her medical oncology/hematology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, N.Y. Dr. Conlin’s research interests are in both early and advanced stage breast cancer and the development and incorporation of new drugs for these patients.

Christie Moore, M.D.

After receiving an undergraduate degree in biology at Barnard College, Dr. Moore earned her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in NYC, followed by fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Moore’s areas of clinical focus include the treatment of germ cell tumors, lymphoma, and all aspects of care related to adolescent and young adult oncology.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, Erin K. Myklebust, M.N., A.N.P., was a practicing hematology and oncology nurse for nine years. She then returned to school at the University of Washington, Seattle, where she received her Master of Nursing Degree. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society.
