Support for Patients and Families

“We try to treat each patient like a family member.”

Support for Patients and Families

At Providence Radiation Oncology Services, the patient comes first. That means providing not only the most advanced and most effective cancer therapies, but also hands-on support from caring professionals who understand the personal challenges of cancer treatment and work with patients to overcome practical and emotional obstacles as they heal.

Help arranging transportation, managing side effects, finding support groups and individual counseling, all fall within the scope of Providence support services, available to patients throughout their entire cancer journey.

You do not have to fight cancer alone. Patients and their families experience a wide variety of responses to the diagnosis and treatment needs. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can help.

To arrange an appointment with a Providence Radiation Oncology Social Worker, contact

Dawn Brucker, M.S.W., at Providence Portland Medical Center (503-215-6163)
