June 16-August 22Camp VIDA’s curriculum supports each child’s interests holistically. We plan fun, developmentally appropriate activities for each session with weekly emphasis on: Gardening, Cooking, Fine Art, Science, Music and Dance. In addition, Camp VIDA continues to support Montessori philosophy by encouraging grace and courtesy within each community as well as support each child’s development of self-care and care of the environment. Camp VIDA observes a 1:10 ratio and all of our highly trained staff are CPR and Pediatric First Aid trained. In addition, our staff attends extensive professional development classes each year. To register for Camp VIDA, you will need to complete the following: ======================================================================================= New for 2008: Elementary Camp VIDA for children ages 7 to 12June 16-August 8, weekdays 8:30 to 5 p.m.Our fun, experiential, hands-on curriculum benefits our elementary-age campers by developing their self-confidence, self-understanding, and self-awareness. Children explore animals, fine art, cooking, theater, the art of business, science and more. We have integrated in the program a review of reading, writing, math – always keeping in mind that children are on vacation and fun is a must.
