Hospice is a special kind of care tailored to meet each individual resident and residents' family's needs and desires at the end of life. Providence Hospice addresses the needs of the whole person - including their physical, spiritual, emotional, social and family issues.
Care is provided by a specially trained and highly dedicated team, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Providence Hospice serves patients in private homes, nursing homes, assisted living and residential care facilities and foster homes.
It takes a special person to help when the moments are most sensitive. If you'd like to learn how to help people who are facing terminal illness, you are invited to attend our free hospice volunteer training course, starting on Jan. 30.
Beginning January 18, a newly formed bereavement support group will meet on the first and third Thursday of each month at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. Free of charge, this group is led by a grief counselor to help people deal with the pain and turmoil after losing a loved one.
